A QUIET SPRING
(Written as a fundraiser during the 2020 Virus)
Took a walk outside, nobody moving
Grabbed my keys and took a drive, there's nothing doing
Just that old convenience store
There's a line outside the door
Another day spent rambling
It's a quiet Spring
Talking heads on my tv, you just provoke me
I need a friend, a joke, a song, maybe a little karaoke
I really need to see you smile
We haven't hugged in such a while
And I miss the way you sing
Such a quiet Spring
Took a ride past the stadium, no one's playing
I can't stay inside all day, just saying
Open up the parks, open up your hearts!
Tell me, have you heard anything?
It's a quiet Spring.
